Chapter Overview

ISM—Western Washington Chapter

The organization was founded in 1920 and affiliated with the National Association of Purchasing Agents (NAPA) in 1921. The goal of the organization was to bring purchasing agents together in the Western Washington region, building their professional value and to helping make greater contributions to their employers.

NAPA became NAPM (National Association of Purchasing Managers) and finally Institute for Supply Management (ISM) in the early 2000s. ISM—Western Washington has been proudly affiliated with the this international organization for 100 years. ISM—Western Washington is one of many worldwide chapters representing ISM. Our membership consists of a wide variety of supply management professionals in different industries and at all levels in their careers.

ISM—Western Washington remains dedicated to promoting educational and networking events for supply management professionals in Western Washington. We support the professional certifications through ISM, including CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) and CPSD (Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity).
